About this Course

Mill Valley Recreation Swim Instructor Academy is offered for youth ages 9-14 who have a desire to learn the fundamentals of becoming a future swim lesson instructor. In this course, students will learn how to structure swim lessons, the use of games to teach lifesaving skills, practice teaching mock swim lessons and learn to become a swim aide with our current swim lesson program. Your child will develop a strong foundation for water safety, tools to teach successful swimming lessons and respect for the aquatic environment. *Participants must be Swim Level 4 or higher to participate.
